Bourjois Haul

Bourjois Product list:
* City Radiance Foundation
* Happy Light Base Serum
* Aqua Blush
* Volume 1 Seconde Mascara
* Rouge Edition Aqua Laque
* New Effect 3D Lipgloss

So this week I was kindly asked to try out a few Bourjois products and let you lovelies know how I got on...and the result is pretty good!

For years I've been wearing quite heavy foundations as I would regularly get bad break outs and would need a good coverage to disguise them and so I've never really wanted to buy a 'light' foundation, but after trying the City Radiance from Bourjois I am slightly converted! This foundation is made with an anti-dullness formula and radiance-boosting pigments all designed to even out the complexion, and the result? ... A gorgeous dewy/fresh faced look that feels so light on your skin. This morning (when this picture was taken) I had a little breakout so I just applied a little bit more foundation to that area and it covered it perfectly ☺️
I really love this foundation for day wear because it is so light & fresh and stays on all day, it ticks all the boxes for me I think my skin really enjoyed the break!

Before applying the City Radiance Foundation I used the Happy Light Base Serum, this is a feather light primer that doesn't block your pores, instead it is designed to leave your skin soft and moisturised. This primer comes in 'Matt' and 'Luminous' and both basically do as the name suggests. 'Matt' mattifies the skin and refines pores and 'Luminous' illuminates and hydrates the skin and is perfect for anyone with normal - dry skin, I used the later of the two and it really helped to make my skin look so fresh πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Bourjois have a theme of refreshed and radiant looking skin throughout their product range ... Right down to their blush. I'll admit it took me a few goes before I got used to using a cream blush so here's a little tip, you only need a little pump of the Aqua Blush, do a big cheesy grin and start blending from your cheeks up in a diagonal line. This blush boosts the skins natural radiance and works well with the light foundation and illuminating primer.

When going for a fresh look on your skin I think it is so important to make your eyes stand out and add a little bit of drama to the look. I used the 'Volume 1 Seconde Mascara', with a specially designed brush that is inspired by professional hairstyling brushes to allow for clump free 360 degree volume. To get the best out of this mascara apply in  Zig Zag motion on both the top and bottom lashes.

I used the Rouge Edition Liquid Laque on my lips in shade '09' and absolutely loved it! It's non sticky  formula glides on so easily and feels so light on! Another little benefit of the Liquid Laque is that it contains Nymphaea extract to smooth and moisturise, as well as this is doeson't run so there's no need to apply Lipliner... For this look I used the New Effect 3D Lipgloss to add some shimmer (although there was really no need, I was just trying out a different look πŸ™Š). The 3D lipgloss also contains hydrating and moisturising agents while still giving a voluminous and super shiny result 😁

All in all I am so impressed by these products, I love having such fresh feeling skin and the best part is that all these products complement each other leaving your  skin and lips hydrated and moisturised .

Lashing Out

From Nail Polish to Contour Palettes and Eyelashes, Suzanne Jackson is covering all bases in becoming a part of our daily makeup routine, and as far as I can gather she's doing extremely well!

Having tried both the nail polishes and contour palette I couldn't wait to try the eyelashes from the SOSU by Suzanne Jackson range. There is such a wide variety of styles that no matter what you look for in lashes you'll definitely find something to suit you. Personally, my go to lashes are the Whispes by Ardell, so I bought the Naomi style as they are very similar. I also chose the Carla style for a change, they are full, lengthy and have a jagged edge which I think makes them look a little more natural.

I couldn't wait to try the lashes out last night, and definitely wasn't disappointed! The Carla lashes were actually a bit longer than I thought but I absolutely loved them, they made my eyes look so much bigger and perfectly combined length and volume while still being light weight. They have an invisible seam so there's no real need to wear eyeliner, I did however as I was going out and wanted to add a little bit more definition to my makeup.

I would also point out that the lashes do not have any glue included, so if you're buying them in the hope of wearing them the same night be sure to pick up a packet of glue as well (my personal fave is the Duo glue). As Suzanne explained on snapchat yesterday the reason she didn't include glue with the lashes was because she feels that the glue included with eyelashes is always cheap and found that most people end up throwing it away and using their own anyway. She also pointed out that including glue with her lashes would have increased the price, which is a road she wasn't interested in going down. Suzanne has stated that she is working on her own brand of eyelash glue to be sold separately, and if her current products are anything to go by, I'd say she is on to another little gold mine ☺️

All in all, at £5:00 (black box eyelashes only) these lashes are a steal, I was honestly so impressed with them and can't wait to try the other styles!

bBold Smart Tan

So I am sure that you have all heard of the new bBold Smart Tan, and if not then listen up - the rumours are true!

As a false tan addict I am open to trying any new tan on the market and when I heard about the new bBold Smart Tan I couldn't wait to give it a go, especially following all of the hype about it!

Because I love tan so much the smell, stickiness and the likely hood of the bed sheets being ruined never really annoyed me (as long as I got a nice deep tan I didn't care πŸ˜‚)  but when you have a tan that develops after washing it off this isn't something you have to think about and it is actually a major advantage πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

 The bBold Smart Tan is a mousse which gives a fab even application and you can see where you are putting the tan so there is  no chance of any white patches or streaks. ☺️

The longer you leave the tan on the deeper the tan will be when it fully develops. As I like my tan quite dark I left it on for three hours, washed it off before bed and in the morning it was just the way I wanted it ...and the sheets were still clean too πŸ™ŒπŸ»  If you prefer a more natural sun kissed look you could wash the mousse off after one or two hours to achieve your desired look.

As with all bBold products this is a kind to skin product, it contains 100% natural organic DHA, natural erythrulose, Aloe Vera to tone, protect and moisturise and Kahai Oil which has 50% more vitamin E and twice as much vitamin F than argon oil.

Another factor to consider is that at around £13 it won't break the bank and is worth every penny for the host of benefits it provides πŸ’™

I got my smart tan in McKeevers Chemist in Armagh, also available in Newry and online

Glove Your Body

As someone who never gave much thought to a tanning mitt and had never even bought an exfoliating glove I have been totally converted!

The 'Glove Your Body' tanning mitt feels just like a big fluffy sock and the fab design means that it doesn't slip around during application. The mitt is made from quite a thick material too so there is no way the tan can seep through and make your little pinky fingers so much darker than the rest ... A problem I have had lots of experience with. I honestly had no idea how important a tanning mitt actually was when putting tan on, but I've been proved wrong! The fluffyness of this mitt means there are absolutely no streaks and you save so much time as it just seams to glide on so evenly, and you also save a lot of the actual product you use aswell as the Glove Your Body mitt can make a little bit of tan go along way. Another unique feature of this mitt is that comes with its own travel bag so it's so handy for taking away with you!

I was also so surprised by the difference a good exfoliating glove can make! Previously I would've only used one of those wee exfoliating ball things that you get free with most bath sets, and my poor skin would be so red from scrubbing old tan off!😫 This mitt is brilliant for taking your tan off without damaging your skin, leaving it feeling so soft and baby-like afterwards, and what's better is that there is a little tiny one for exfoliating your face! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

~ Not So Mellow Yellow ~

Hiya Lovelies!! πŸ’›

Nope it's not a dress ... Just a perfect match πŸ˜‚

I got the skirt and the white body in River Island, they have thee best selection of skirts at the minute! - seriously don't think I'll just have the one πŸ™Š
For some reason I took a notion for a long skirt but I didn't think I would find one I really liked, and then when I got the skirt I stressed over what top I could put with it (especially when the other half points out that a Cami top made the yellow part look like an apron. Hmmm)

This was just one of those very rare times when an outfit comes together with very little effort and you end up really really liking it πŸ’›

A body suit definitely works best with this type of skirt...or a crop top that would just sit on the waistband. Any other top that you had to tuck down was very noticeable under the skirt as it is quite fitted around the bum. This bodysuit is available in any colour you want so you won't be stuck if you  choose one of the other skirts, or maybe you have one already that you haven't found a top for! Although it looks like a plunge top this bodysuit isn't revealing at all, which I actually really liked about it.

I also really really liked how long this skirt was at the back, but then it went up quite a bit  at the front πŸ˜‰ So important when you want to show of your shoes!

The shoes are Miss KG, I got them way back last year for my cousins wedding & had kept them so so clean since, I didn't wear them out, or when there was the tiniest bit of rain (they're suade so I was affraid of completely destroying them!) anyways I wore them on Saturday and when I looked at them again on Sunday they were black. Black-black. Totally ruined. I didn't think they could get any worse so I thought I would get a sponge and some Vanish, and guess what! They are actually like brand new!! So there's a lil top if you ever need to clean suade sandals πŸ˜‚ (I should've taken a before and after picture as proof lol)

Here are some pics and the links to the skirt & top ☺️

All Black Everything

Last weeks outfit had an all black Oliva Newtown-John vibe... Tight black top & black skinnies with reeeeeally High heels!

I am absolutely loving body suits these days! They are so handy for nights when you have "nothing to wear", they're so easy to team up with a pencil skirt or mini skirt or if you want a more casual look just wear with your jeans...2 completely different looks and both are fab πŸ’•

I styled my hair with French plaits because of the choker neck top...I love my hair pulled back when I have a high neck (although whether this top is actually a high neck remains to be seen due to the low plungeπŸ˜‚) I went for an orange/cranberry & dark brown smokey eye, still using the Inglot Christmas eyeshadow palette!
